Delegates and alternates attended the 3rd Congressional Republican convention March 26th at Edina High School Erik Paulsen was the first speaker who was elected with 59% of the vote in 2010 showing how his popularity grows in the district among Republicans and independents. Also speaking were Chair Tony Sutton, Treasurer David Sturrock and Deputy Chair Michael Brodkorb who will all likely return to leadership this year.

Much of the current CD3 Executive Committee returns from last cycle with the additions of Luke Hellier of Edina and Guy Collins of Plymouth

3rd CD Election results:
• Co-Chairs: Margaret Cavanaugh and Rick Weible
• Treasurer: Linda Presthus
• Secretary: Ellen Wade

The race that is getting the most attention this year is the Republican National Committeewoman and Committeeman positions. Present today to speak were all candidates for the 2 positions: Janet Beihoffer, Pamela Punt, Pat Anderson, Mary Igo, Jeff Johnson and Tom Emmer.
