The New Redistricting Maps are Here!

With apologies to Steve Martin, "I'm somebody!" Check out your new proposed district here (NOTE: this is not final, but may well pass). Your district may not change much at all, or like me you may go through a seismic shift. If this passes as written, I would overnight go from representation by Ann Rest and Sandra Petersen, to Warren Limmer and Kurt Zellers! If that is not incentive to check your maps out here I don't know what is. Kudos to the mapping team at the state. Awesome easy to follow PDFs.

The proposed redistricting map is available on the official GIS website.
"Our redistricting bill was introduced following an open, transparent process that to date has included public hearings in three important regional centers, visits with minority groups, community leaders, 13 committee meetings and four months of public input.
"We are exercising due diligence in performing our constitutional duty of creating a fair, representative map for all Minnesotans," said House Redistricting Committee Chair, Sarah Anderson.
