US Representative Erik Paulsen, Minnesota Congressional District 3
In January 2011, Congressman Erik Paulsen was sworn in to serve his second term representing Minnesota’s Third Congressional District; a district made up of the western suburbs of Minneapolis.
Paulsen is a member of the House Committee on Ways and Means, which has jurisdiction over health care, economic and trade policy and is the chief tax writing committee in the House. He supports pro-growth initiatives and believes that open markets are the key to a strong economy. And is also a member of the Free Trade Working Group and the Korea-U.S. Free Trade Working Group. The Free Trade Working Group was formed nearly 20 years ago to educate Members and promote policies that would open foreign markets to U.S. goods.

Congressman Paulsen is a Member on the House Committe on Ways and Means. The Committee is the chief tax writing committee and is tasked with framing the nation's economic, health care and trade policy.

Med Tech Caucus
Congressman Paulsen is the co-chair of the Med Tech Caucus. As co chair, he hears about advances in medical technologies and meets with those in the industry on a regular basis. This important caucus helps to drive down the cost of healthcare by improving the quality of information and making it more efficient.

Sheriff Richard Stanek, Hennepin County Sheriff Stanek is a 24-year veteran of law who earned several promotions for his determination and passion for public safety, rising through the ranks of the Minneapolis Police Department. Prior to being elected as the Sheriff of Hennepin County he served the Minneapolis Police Department as Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division, overseeing investigations in the areas of Homicide, Robbery, Assault, Family Violence, Organized Crime, Narcotics, Gangs and Sex Crimes.
A five-term legislator in the Minnesota House of Representatives, he Chaired the House Crime Policy and Finance Committee. The Sheriff has also managed the largest law enforcement agency in the state when, in 2003, he was appointed Minnesota's Commissioner of Public Safety and Director of Homeland Security.
